Big news: premium shipping pouches are here! Say goodbye to plastic, say hello to cardboard.

Cardboard is fantastic!

We're proud to announce the arrival of top-quality cardboard sleeves, replacing shipping envelopes and plastic blisters!

Plastic sucks!

As you know, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to recycle plastic. Today, we unfortunately find plastic waste everywhere on land and in the oceans.

The appalling and frightening fact is that around 9 million tonnes of plastic are dumped into the oceans every year, resulting in the loss of 100,000 marine mammals each year(source). How sad...

Today, we even talk about "plastic continents".

This is plastic waste carried by ocean currents that has formed clusters in the five major ocean basins where the water is calmer. For example, the most famous, the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch" (or "the seventh continent") is in the North Pacific Ocean and is six times the size of France. It's crazy, isn't it?

At TPOP, we're genuinely sensitive to ecological issues, and we believe that each of us has a part to play in making a difference. An edifice as important as the protection of our beloved planet, which is unfortunately far from being in great shape...

For months we had been thinking about getting rid of these plastic shipping containers, but we had to find a reliable and sustainable alternative.

We went around to different packaging manufacturers, did a lot of research on what was being done today and finally found our replacement...

BE CAREFUL, IT'S NOT RUBBISH.

The new shipping pouch is made from recyclable cardboard and holds the FSC label (an environmental label certifying that the wood comes from sustainably managed forests). It's superbly finished and super thick. After several tests (in winter conditions such as rain or snow), it provides perfect protection for the various textiles inside.

In addition, we carried out several blind tests on several people, presenting them with the two sealed envelopes ready for mailing. We simply asked them which one they thought contained the most expensive product (i.e. the one that gave the product the most value).

The cardboard sleeve won the challenge hands down! At a glance, the testers chose the recycled envelope for its "chic" look, and when they were able to hold it in their hands, they found it thicker and better finished.

On the other hand, the plastic blister pack is not replaced, precisely for the sake ofSustainability. Thus, T-shirts, sweatshirts or small "flat" accessories are directly packed in cardboard sleeves.

Don't hesitate to mention it and put it forward on your site, because today, the environmental argument is important and many customers will be sensitive to the efforts you will allocate to the carbon footprint of your shop.

Believe us, few online businesses can boast of packaging their products in recyclable pouches, without a single gram of plastic! This is exceedingly rare in the industry and it's a good idea to tell your customer about it: it may even be the argument that leads to a sale in some cases.

Another new feature (implemented 2 weeks ago): the packing slip sent to your customer is now made of 100% recycled paper.
It is now indicated on the slip, at the bottom of the page: "100% recycled paper, a gesture for the planet."

We try to go green down to the last detail: it's not only good for our planet, but it will be well received by your customers.

As for the mugs, we wrap them in sturdy cardboard boxes.

We hope this news makes you as excited as we are, because here at the workshop we are like kids and super excited to pack all your orders in these fabulous cardboard sleeves.

So as not to be secretive, you should know that these pretty cardboard envelopes cost us more than the envelope and the blister pack combined. However, in order not to penalise you and impose an additional cost on you, we have chosen to cover this difference in price.

No extra cost for you, for a top-notch package.

We can do this for our planet.

Now, the fun is over, and it's up to you to flood the market with thousands of recyclable pouches!
