Stanley/Stella sweatshirt replacement: RISE is coming to the application.

Discover the new model from Stanley/Stella: a unisex sweater that meets the best ecological criteria.

Image description

The newcomer, called "RISE", is a UNISEX round-neck sweater made of 85% organic, spun and combed cotton and 15% recycled polyester. It's so clean!

Big news indeed for 2019, polyester is now recycled, Stanley/Stella is pulling the market up...

The cut is classic, rather straight and can be worn by both men and women.

It is available from XS to XXL. As it is unisex, advise your customers to choose a size below their reference size. For example, a woman who usually wears a size S should choose a size XS.

Unlike the Strolls and Trips, the Rise does not have raglan sleeves but fitted sleeves. This may be a detail for you, but for us it means a lot :D

Have you noticed the difference?

It's simple: raglan sleeves are sleeves sewn with a diagonal seam from the armpit to the neck, while set-in sleeves are classic sleeves with a seam from the armpit to above the shoulder.

Why the difference, you may ask?

I know, you are waiting, not without impatience, for the historical minute: this type of sewing was invented by a certain FitzRoy James Henry Somerset (known above all as Lord Raglan, hence the name of his invention...). He was a British officer who, after losing an arm at the Battle of Waterloo, had the idea of designing a system of sleeves with a wider opening, allowing him to put on his shirt as quickly as possible. Ingenious, isn't it?

Not only did this seam have a practical aspect, but it was quickly recuperated by the fashion world to make it an aesthetic element.

Nowadays, this type of sleeve is quite common in the sports world, where many sports shirts have this particular cut. Take a good look, you'll see that too ;)

Second small difference with the Strolls and Trips: on the Rise, there is no decorative triangle sewn under the collar.

Apparently, this little triangle, which has been in vogue for a few years, is no longer in vogue, hence Stanley/Stella's choice to abandon it.

The Rise is just as high quality as the Strolls/Trips. It is the same weight, 300 g/m2 and has the same soft feel.
