Getting started in print on demand

Beyond your business skills and creativity, here are some "key" tips on how to use our application and convert as much as possible.

The application was created to simplify your online shopping experience and help you grow your shop quickly.

Here's a guide with some quick and easy tips on how to increase sales on your store website.

First of all, determine your core products.

T-shirts and sweatshirts: organic cotton or not?

There is now a real demand from the customer to wear organic cotton textiles, with labels indicating fair trade manufacturing wherever possible (e.g. the "Fair Wear" label).

It is up to you to find out whether your audience/target group has this requirement.

Be aware that you will have to pay a slight premium for products labelled 100% organic cotton: this may seem unfavourable at first, but in the end you will be able to sell a 100% organic cotton product at a higher margin.

Tailor your product selection to your audience

The better you know your audience, the better you will know what they will like.

For example, we offer pouches on the app, which are mainly intended for women or for kids, who can use them as a kit. If your target audience is exclusively male, don't offer these pouches on your site, it would be useless, your audience would wonder and above all... you wouldn't sell any.

Adapt your choice of products to the season

Yes, it may seem obvious, but the season is an important element to take into account when highlighting certain products.

Avoid promoting tank tops when it is -5° outside 😀

Create your designs according to your target audience.

  • If you're a blogger/influencer, you'll need to know what your followers want and analyse which articles or posts worked best. Which ones have received the most "likes" and the most comments? What are your followers' expectations?
  • Don't hesitate to organise surveys, it's an excellent way of finding out what they want and the public love to be asked for their opinion.
Propose several ideas for visuals and determine what appeals most: this way, you'll quickly know what you need to focus on.
  • If you have already tested the online sale and had success with a visual, do not hesitate to use it on other products proposed in the app: test the mug, the totebag or the cushion, you will be surprised by the result. Some people will prefer to buy a one-size-fits-all product like the mug as a gift, so there are no nasty surprises, no size problems and therefore no returns/exchanges to organise.
  • Finally, it is important to create collections to group together designs that correspond to the same category. The easier it is for the customer to navigate your site, the more natural the purchase will be. It is essential that the visitor feels confident and can easily find what they are looking for in your shop.

Some rules to follow when putting your design on a product.

When you add your design to one of the products in the application, you will see that a print area is defined and that you cannot print on the entire surface of the product.

This avoids mistakes and possible disappointments on your side, but don't worry our printers are calibrated for a generous print size. Be careful to take into account the color of your material: if your t-shirt is black, make sure you do not insert a visual where the text (or image) is mostly black color . To catch the customer's eye, everything must be contrasting and readable.

When creating your visual, make sure yousave itin very good quality (PNG minimum 2000 x 2000 px and 150 DPI).
In this way, the print rendering will be at its best and you will be able to reduce it later to insert it on other products, which require a lower resolution.

When creating your design in Illustrator, export it as a PNG, select your directory and then choose 150 PPP for best quality.

Please note that we have chosen to print automatically on both sides of the mugs (ceramic and enamelled): so, whether your customer is left or right handed, your visual will always be visible.

Now that you have read this short guide the application should hold no secrets for you.

Onwards to countless sales!
